Mezcal with Cocoa and Smoked Salt

Salt stimulates the appetite and thirst. Rimming your cocktail glass with salt enhances the flavors inherent in the potion and may provoke the desire for a second round.

Ingredients:

1 teaspoon agave syrup
2 teaspoons Dutch process cocoa powder
1 tablespoon Esprit du Sel Smoked Fleur de Sel
2 oz mescal

Make the Cocktail

Mix the salt and cocoa powder together in a small dish.
Use a small brush to paint the outside rim of an Old Fashion glass with agave syrup.
Roll the rim of the glass in the salt blend.
Fill the glass with crushed ice.
Pour in the mezcal.
