THE STORY
110 years of family ownership in Lleida
The Veá family has cultivated Arbequina olive groves in Sarroca de Lleida since 1913, when Domingo Veá Santclement acquired their first estate. In 1978 they became one of the first Spanish producers to export extra virgin olive oil to Italy — bottling under their own L'Estornell brand from 1981.
L'Estornell — Catalan for a bird that loves olives and "helps" during harvest. Estate-grown Arbequina, harvested early from older, lower-yield trees in the stony soils of Lleida for exceptional intensity.
