Truffle Ahi Sashimi Cones

This sashimi cone recipe is a testament to the harmony of flavors and textures, combining the simplicity of fresh fish with the complexity of gourmet condiments. Perfect for special occasions or as a sophisticated appetizer, these sashimi cones are sure to impress.

Ingredients:

Preparation:

Time: 15 Minutes
Yield: Serves 1-2
  • Begin by finely dicing the Ahi Tuna into small, bite-sized pieces. Ensure the tuna is fresh and of sashimi-grade quality for the best taste and texture.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the diced Ahi Tuna with the Edmond Fallot Horseradish Dijon Mustard. The mustard will add a subtle heat and depth of flavor to the tuna. Mix gently to coat the tuna evenly, being careful not to break the delicate pieces. Take a La Rose Noire Sesame Cone and carefully fill it with the seasoned Ahi Tuna mixture. The sesame cones add a nutty flavor and a crunchy texture that contrasts beautifully with the smoothness of the tuna.
  • Once the cones are filled, lightly drizzle A L'Olivier White Truffle Olive Oil over the top of the tuna. The truffle oil will infuse the dish with its unmistakable aroma and rich flavor, elevating the sashimi cone to gourmet status.
  • Garnish each cone with a few lotus root chips. Their crisp texture and subtle sweetness complement the creamy tuna and the richness of the truffle oil.
  • If desired, add a sprig of fresh dill to each cone for a touch of color and a fresh, herby flavor that balances the richness of the other ingredients.
  • Serve them immediately after assembly to ensure the cones remain crisp and the flavors are at their peak.
